- The finder searches all 25,527 public and independent schools across South Africa's 9 provinces, using the Department of Basic Education EMIS Q3 2025 dataset.
- How is distance calculated?
- Distances are straight-line (as-the-crow-flies) approximations using the Haversine formula. Actual travel time will depend on roads and local conditions.
- Can I filter the results?
- Yes — on the results step you can filter by phase (Primary, Secondary, Combined, and others), sector (Public or Independent), and quintile (1–5). You can also adjust the search radius from 2 km to 100 km.
